Friday’s biggest Chelsea news and transfer rumours.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly keen on bringing Jose Mourinho back to the Bernabeu to take over from Rafa Benitez next summer, The Sun reports.

Mourinho’s future at Chelsea is still under review, while the same can be said for Benitez at Madrid, who is struggling to keep his side in the title race.

The Special One managed Real before, but managed to fall out with a number of his own players as well as opposing coaches, but despite that, Perez always rated him and is eager to bring him back when as a successor to Benitez.

Misfiring Blues striker Diego Costa has refused to rule out a possible return to former club Atletico Madrid by dropping a huge hint that he could be on his way back sooner rather than later, according to the Daily Express.

The Spanish international has struggled to recapture the same kind of form he displayed last term and has since been linked with a return to his former club in a swap deal for Atletico forward Antoine Griezmann.

He dropped a huge hint that a return could be on the cards when he was asked by saying: “You never know – look where Filipe Luis is now. Life is full of surprises.

“I always wish Atletico the best and I always follow them, support them from afar.”

Chelsea could be lining up a move for Paris Saint Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi after learning that he would be prepared to move on to seek a new challenge, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The France international has been with the Parisian giants since 2011, and has played a huge part in their success since joining.

However, with the club having virtually wrapped up the title already, it is believed that he is prepared to move on at the end of the season.

Liverpool are said to be one of three clubs in the hunt to sign Chelsea starlet Ola Aina, the Daily Mirror reports.

Both Borussia Dortmund and Napoli are believed to be keen on snapping him up after he failed to make a breakthrough into the Blues’ first team this term.

Having been a part of their pre-season campaign, the England under-21 international has not yet played a minute in the Premier League, but that hasn’t stopped the trio of clubs from Europe from lining up for his signature.
