Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is set to be offered an incredible £75million to leave the club and head for the Chinese Super League, according to the Daily Mail.
The England skipper will be given the opportunity to earn a whopping £25m-per-season, which works out to an equivalent of £480,000-per-week.
The 30-year-old is wanted by Chinese Super League officials to become a poster boy for the sport there and will offer him a three-year contract to do so and leave Old Trafford.
And should he opt to take up the offer, he would be given the chance to link up with former England boss Sven Goran Eriksson, who is now the manager at Shanghai SIPG.
Rooney still has three years remaining on his current deal with United, and though Chinese League chiefs are prepared to wait, they would ideally like him to join them as soon as possible.
However, it is thought there would also be competition from several MLS clubs, where he may prefer the lifestyle.
