Many members of the England national team are extremely familiar with Wales superstar Gareth Bale, having played alongside him between Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur prior to his record-breaking transfer to Real Madrid several years ago.

Now they’ll get an opportunity to see him again as a foe when Wales takes on England in the Euro 2016 tournament.

On Saturday’s Euro 2016 draw, England drew Group B and their first opponent was revealed to be none other than Wales.

Twitter reactions were mostly optimistic:

Telegraph pointed out that England have beaten Wales a whopping 66 times, losing just 14 times and drawing another 21 times.

But the most impressive stat is that England have won their last four matches against Wales without conceding a single goal.

Gareth Bale will no doubt have to face off against former teammates Harry Kane, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker, and Ryan Mason as well as Wayne Rooney and Raheem Sterling in order to lead Wales to victory.

England also drew Slovakia and Russia to complete Group B.
