Man United to launch £50m move for Everton goal machine Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United are said to be weighing up a stunning £50million move for Everton striker Romelu Lukakau, according to Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb.

United have struggled to hit the goal trail this season, and so far have registered fewer shots than any other side in the Premier League.

However, by contrast, Lukakau is enjoying one of the strongest periods if his career to date and has currently got 15 goals in 15 appearances to his name for the Toffees.

And because of that, reports have emerged claiming United are ready to stump up an astounding £50m for his signature, which would be the highest fee the Red Devils have ever paid for a striker.

But Everton will no doubt want to keep hold of their greatest asset, and shown over the summer just how stubborn they can be after repeatedly rejecting big money advances from Chelsea for the signature of young defender John Stones.
