Former Man United hero likely to make Premier League return in January

Nemanja Vidic was a four-time PFA Team of the Year defender and a two-time Premier League Player of the Season. Though it has been two years since the former Manchester United defender left Old Trafford, it appears that he could be making a Premier League comeback this January.

According to the Metro, Vidic has drawn interest from 20th-ranked Aston Villa, who are sorely in need of a defender – even if said defender is 34 years old. Vidic currently plays for Inter Milan but the report noted that his deal with the club is likely to be ended in January. He has been sidelined due to a hernia but is expected to be fully recovered by next month.

Per Talksport, Everton have interest in the former Man United defender as well.

Vidic debuted in the Premier League for Man United in 2006 after an impressive career with Red Star Belgrade and Spartak Moscow. From 2006 to 2014, Vidic made 300 total appearances for the Red Devils and scored 21 goals, winning fifteen titles along the way.
