Pep Guardiola—reportedly wanted by both Manchester United and Manchester City—may be set to disappoint both Premier League giants…because of his wife’s wishes.
As reported by RMC [as per Le 10 Sport], Guardiola’s wife Cristina is reportedly against the idea of moving to England, because she is enjoying life in Germany and is keen to stay in Bavaria.
The manager’s contract at Bayern comes to an end in the summer, and he has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City.
As per Cadena Cope, Manuel Pellegrini hasn’t totally impressed the club chiefs at the Etihad Stadium, and the prospect of acquiring Guardola—who enjoys an almost unrivalled reputation within the game—appears too tempting to miss out on.
However, the Citizens could yet face competition from Manchester United, according to ESPN. Louis van Gaal is struggling at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils failing to find the net regularly in the Premier League, and already out of the Champions League after falling at the first hurdle.

However, any hopes either of the Manchester pair might have had of acquiring the ex-Barcelona coach may have to be put on ice…at least if Guardiola considers his wife’s preference.
