Chelsea willing to swap Eden Hazard to sign Real Madrid ace James Rodriguez

Chelsea are finally ready to allow Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard join Real Madrid in a swap deal that would bring out-of-favour James Rodriguez in the opposite direction, according to Spanish publication Don Balon.

Hazard has been linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge ever since the summer transfer window, with Madrid being touted as his most likely destination, and the deal now looks as though it will go ahead sooner or later.

However, the Don Balon report claims that Chelsea aren’t looking to part with the Belgian international in a straight cash deal, and would rather land Rodriguez in a mutual swap.

The Blues have been keeping tabs on the player, so a swap deal would make sense, especially as both players are believed to be valued at around £58million.

However, it is thought that Real aren’t keen on the idea of a swap, but Blues chiefs are hopeful that they will want to land Hazard badly enough that they would reconsider.
