Angel Di Maria has outlined his Champions League aspirations for Paris Saint-Germain after the French giants were drawn against Chelsea in the Round of 16.

The Ligue 1 heavyweights have been regular foe for the Blues in the European Cup in recent years, and this season will represent the third consecutive campaign that the two capital clubs will meet.

Last year, it was the French side who won out, with Laurent Blanc pulling one over on Jose Mourinho with a second-round victory.

This year, PSG will arguably be favourites to advance; while the Pensioners are struggling in the EPL, the French giants are flying in Ligue 1, and moved 17 points clear of their nearest rivals with a 5-1 triumph over Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday evening.

Speaking to Stade 2 [as reported by Paris Fans], Di Maria has outlined his hopes for his time at PSG, and has confirmed that he wants to win the Champions League with the French giants.

“I feel as though I am part of a family at Paris,” the former Manchester United man began. “I am happy in this city.

“The club is growing day after day, and is looking to improve, so I like it a lot.

“(I dream of) winning the Champions League with Paris,” continued the Argentine international, who won the Champions League with Real Madrid in 2014, “to end happily here, respect my contract and win lots of silverware for PSG.”
