Chelsea LOSE GROUND in transfer race for top 10 goalscorer

There was a widely held belief that West Bromwich Albion scoring machine Saido Berahino would make a big-money transfer to a top club like Chelsea or Tottenham Hotspur in the summer after a sensational season with The Baggies. When the deal failed to materialize, Berahino started to publicly criticize the club in order to force an eventual move. But it appears the Chelsea & Spurs target has made up with his club and might not be going anywhere soon.

According to the Daily Mail, Berahino has started following the team on Twitter again after removing the team from his social media feed – a clear sign that the fences have been mended between the two.

Berahino has been largely removed from West Brom’s first-team by manager Tony Pulis and has not appeared in the Premier League since October. However, Berahino showed a surprising willingness to join the club’s Under-21 side, and scored in matches against West Ham United and Swansea city.

Last year Berahino scored a career-high 14 goals, including a brace in a 3-0 upset win over Chelsea in Match Week 37. He tied Eden Hazard and Olivier Giroud for sixth most in the Premier League in scoring.

Shockingly, despite making just 8 starts in the Premier League, Berahino has as many goals as Eden Hazard and Diego Costa combined with three.
