Chelsea tracking starlet striker Mariusz Stepinski dubbed the ‘new Robert Lewandowski’

Chelsea are said to be tracking young Ruch Chorzow striker Mariusz Stepinski ahead of a possible deal to bring him to London in the new year, according to Daily Mail.

The 20-year-old has been in hot form for the Polish club so far this season, having notched an impressive 11 goals in 18 appearances already, and has impressed so much that the Polish press have taken to labelling him as the ‘new Robert Lewandowski’.

The Mail reports that several Blues scouts were in attendance last week to watch him as Chorzow took on Jagiellonia Bialystok, and were impressed with what they saw.

Chelsea are known to be in the market for new attacking talent, after their current options have failed to properly get off the ground and Stepinski could represent a cheaper option, though as he is yet to be tested at the highest level he would represent somewhat of a gamble.
