Man United vs Norwich Premier League preview: Rooney set to return for Red Devils

Posted by

Manchester United will likely be able to welcome striker and captain Wayne Rooney back into the squad after he made a full recovery from the ankle injury that has kept him out of action recently.

Midfielder Ander Herrera could also make a return to the starting line up following a hamstring problem, but fellow middle man Bastian Schweinsteiger is suspended following his retrospective ban for elbowing West Ham defender Winston Reid.

The Canaries travel to Old Trafford without the aid of defender Andre Wisdom, who has been sidelined with a hamstring problem, but goalkeeper Declan Rudd is expected to continue in goal in place of John Ruddy.

Winger Matt Jarvis is back in full training and is expected to feature at some point over the Christmas period, though the United clash could be too soon for him.

Though United haven’t been in great form recently, at home they should have enough about them to see off Norwich and keep all three points for themselves.
