Manchester United youngster Anthony Martial has scooped the Golden Boy 2015 award to be named as the best young player in Europe.

The 19-year-old joined United over the summer in a stunning £36million deal from French side Monaco, and has gone on to enjoy a strong start to his career in England by becoming one of the club’s key players.

The Golden Boy award, established by Italian newspaper Tuttosport in 2003, which allows journalists to vote for who they think are the brightest young talents making their way in the game in Europe.

Previous winners of the award include Wayne Rooney, Leo Messi, Sergio Aguero, Mario Gotze and Paul Pogba, while Raheem Sterling picked it up last year.

And Martial came out on top this year, largely thanks to the good start he’s made at Old Trafford, and he saw off Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman and Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin along the way.
