FC Porto youngster Ruben Neves has given a blow to any clubs interested in his signature by admitting that he could spend the rest of his career with the Portuguese giants, according to the Daily Star.

The 18-year-old has established himself as a regular in Julen Lopetegui’s this season, and has caught the eye of a number of top European clubs thanks to a string of mature and composed performances.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool have recently been linked with his signature, as they both look to add more quality to their holding midfield positions.

But the Premier League pair may need to turn their attentions elsewhere, as the youngster has confirmed that he is so happy at the Estadio Dragao that he could quite happily retire there.

“Yes, it’s possible that I will end my career at FC Porto,” he said.

“I’m happy at the club and I’m focused on improving every day to reach my goals, which include winning titles with FC Porto, my favourite club.”
