Former Liverpool manager pokes fun at Reds on Twitter after humiliating Watford defeat

Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat at Watford was so bad that even a former manager has joined in the mockery.

Roy Evans, who took charge of the Reds between 1994 and 1998, was out for a meal with his daughter when he poked fun at Liverpool for their awful performance at Vicarage Road on Sunday.

Odion Ighalo scored twice to add to Nathan Ake’s third-minute opener – gifted to him by an Adam Bogdan gaffe – but, as Evans alluded to, Liverpool were just as poor in attack as they were in defence.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have picked up only one point from their last three Premier League games and are ninth in the table – five points adrift of the top four and 14 behind leaders Leicester City.

You know things aren’t going well when Roy Evans is making jokes about you! The highlight of the 67-year-old’s Anfield reign was a 1994-95 League Cup triumph. Klopp will hope to reach greater heights.
