Pep Guardiola: Club that lands Bayern Munich boss must also sign £100m MEGASTAR

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola appears to be a lock to join the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 season, but if he does go to a big-money club, he expects his new team to sign a marquee player in his prime, specifically Barcelona scoring machine Luis Suarez.

According to the Daily Star, Guardiola will insist that the club that he joins make a £100 million deal for the Barcelona megastar. Guardiola is a top managerial target for Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United – all of whom have the cash to make whatever deals he wants, provided Barcelona are willing to sell.

The Daily Star noted that Suarez’s agent is Pere Guardiola – Pep’s brother – a significant boost for Pep no matter where he ends up.

Manchester City are considered the frontrunners to land Guardiola as a replacement for Manuel Pellegrini even though the Chilean manager still has the club in the hunt for the Premier League and Champions League.

Guardiola managed Barcelona from 2008 to 2012, but went on his coaching sabbatical prior to Suarez’s high-profile move from Liverpool to Spain.
