Tweets: Sad Man United fans already welcoming Jose Mourinho to replace Louis van Gaal

If Louis van Gaal‘s seat wasn’t hot enough prior to Saturday, it was covered in kerosene and set on fire after Manchester United were embarrassed in a 2-0 loss to Stoke City. The Red Devils have now lost four matches in a row for the first time in many, many years and it appears that the fanbase is ready to wipe their hands of the embattled Dutch manager.

Per the Metro, numerous Man United fans are already welcoming former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho to the club, even though the championship-winning manager is still looking for work after being fired by the Blues earlier this month.

Mourinho was fired as manager of Chelsea after the Blues got just 15 points from their first 16 matches – the worst start to a Premier League title defence in league history. Last season he led the club to the Premier League and the League Cup titles.

Van Gaal has by-and-large failed to meet the expectations of the team despite spending a small fortune on player transfers over the last two seasons. Following their loss to Stoke City, Man United dropped to sixth on the table. Earlier this month they were eliminated from the Champions League and sent to the Europa League.
