Real Madrid keen to sign Barcelona superstar; Perez wants to stun football world

Florentino Perez’s ambition knows no limits, and the Real Madrid president has apparently set his sights on Barcelona‘s Neymar as the club’s next Galactico.

Sport [as per Goal] have reported that Perez is keen to bring the Brazilian superstar to the Bernabeu, attempting a signing that would top even Luis Figo’s infamous, treacherous switch from one La Liga powerhouse to the other.

The 68-year-old Perez had hoped to recruit Neymar back in 2013 when the talented attacker left Santos, but ultimately missed out on the forward when rivals Barcelona nipped in to bring the international frontman to the Camp Nou.

However, while Perez has a habit of getting his man in the end, a move for Neymar may prove too ambitious even for him.

The 23-year-old has already achieved great success in Catalonia, winning the Spanish title, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League last season—as well as the Uefa Super Cup and the Fifa Club World Cup—and as part of one of the finest frontlines in history (along with Neymar and Lionel Messi) it’s hard to imagine him being tempted by the call of the Bernabeu.

Manchester City have also been linked to the Brazil attacker, according to Spanish source Mundo Deportivo.
