Arsenal & Liverpool fighting over £29.5 Real Madrid forward

Posted by

As injuries at the forward position continue to ravage Arsenal and Liverpool, the two English giants are plotting a way to bring in reinforcements in January to make a run at some titles. The latest target of the two clubs is Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez, who has received only limited reps in Spain, with both clubs engaging in a transfer war for the young star’s signature.

According to the Metro, Arsenal are pursuing Jese for a £29.5 million transfer with Arsene Wenger making a pitch to the club higher-ups to give him the money to make the deal. In another report from the Metro, it was revealed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is also working on bringing Jese to Anfield as a new attacking option.

Jese has made just four La Liga starts under new manager Rafael Benitez, and has not played a full ninety minutes in any match this season for Los Blancos. He has two goals and an assist in all competitions for the club.
