Arsenal superstar begs manager to sign 19-goal Man United throwaway

Alexis Sanchez may not return to the team ahead of some key matches, so the Arsenal scoring machine is helping to identify his own short-term replacement. Sanchez appears to have identified Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez (known as Chicarito) as the top striker to land in the January transfer window.

According to the Metro, Sanchez has specifically asked manager Arsene Wenger to secure a transfer for the former Man United star who is having a career-revival in Bundesliga.

Javier Hernandez played four full seasons at Man United before joining Real Madrid on loan last year. He made just three appearances in the 2015-16 season before being sold to Bayer Leverkusen. Since joining Leverkusen, Chicarito has scored 19 goals in 22 total competitions for the German giants.

Sanchez has struggled to stay healthy this season, appearing in just 14 out of 19 Premier League matches but contributing six goals – including a hat trick against Leicester City earlier this season. He also scored three goals and had four assists in the Champions League.
