Three of the top six are in action on Tuesday as the final round of matches from game-week 24 takes place with a plethora of high quality fixtures, including sides with realistic chances of promotion to the Premier League.
Ipswich Town meanwhile are currently 6th in the standings, one point clear of Sheffield Wednesday and one behind 5th place Burnley. Last time out they left is late to beat QPR with Luke Chambers scoring a 90th goals to secure a 2-1 win.
They face fourth place Brighton. The Seagulls are without a win in their last four games, drawing three and suffering their first defeat of the season.
Last time out they drew 0-0 away to Brentford and they will hope to get back to winning ways against a side they beat home and away last campaign, scoring three goals in each game.
Despite their recent success it will be Derby that will enter the tie in the more confident form. 18 points and 12 places separates the two sides with the Rams also enjoying the much better recent form. Leeds have been inconsistent this season but are unbeaten in their last four, picking up three wins in the process.
Last time out they beat Preston North-End 1-0, the win moving the club up to 13th in the table.
Both sides could make changes due to the quick turnaround in games. Mirko Antenucci and Kalvin Phillips will be pushing for starts for Leeds while Andreas Weimann, Chris Baird, Darren Bent and Jeff Hendrick will hope to force their way in to Clement’s thinking.
The stand out tie sees weekend leaders Derby take on Leeds United at Elland Road. Leeds were 2-1 winners when the sides met in September and also won 2-0 at Elland Road last season
Fulham are without a win in their last 9 games and will hope to end that run against improving Rotherham. The Cottagers are 18th in the table, three points and three places above their midweek visitor.
Rotherham though have won both of their last two games, beating Hull and Bolton. They have scored 6 and conceded none on their way to maximum points.
The day’s final game sees Cardiff out to avoid a third successive defeat. The Welsh side have lost to Birmingham and the MK Dons to slip to 8th place and they will be wary of 15th place Forest especially with the Midlands side unbeaten in five.
