Potential new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is reportedly already planning to shake things up in the city by raiding cross city rivals United for midfielder Ander Herrera, according to Spanish publication Don Balon.
The Spaniard is due to leave his post with Bayern Munich at the end of the current campaign, and is being widely tipped to take over at The Etihad from Manuel Pellegrini, and has apparently targeted Herrera as one of his first signings, having fallen out of favour at Old Trafford this term.
Guardiola is believed to be a big fan of the former Athletic Bilbao star, and wants to rescue him from Louis van Gaal, who hasn’t used him much despite his good performances when he has played.
However, the Don Balon report also claims that Gary Neville has expressed an interest in the player and is keen to use his contacts at Old Trafford to bring him to Valencia.
