Anthony Martial’s goal two minutes into the second half against Swansea City has put Manchester United on course to end their horrendous eight-match winless run.
The Frenchman made an intelligent run inside from the left flank to meet a cross from Ashley Young with a header into the ground which flew past Lukasz Fabianski.

Old Trafford had previously had to endure another tedious 45 minutes of Louis van Gaal football. It may be a New Year, but it was a familiar tale for the home fans.
United have not scored a first-half goal at home in the Premier League since September and have drawn five of their last eight matches at the Theatre of Dreams 0-0.
Thankfully Martial ended another United borefest shortly after the restart with his third goal in his last six games and eight in all competitions for the campaign.
