Anthony Martial: Man United starlet overwhelms Swansea in two-goal day

Although Manchester United starlet Anthony Martial has seen a dip in his production since his incredible debut with the club back in September, the French striker has recently justified his winning of the prestigious Golden Boy award over the past few weeks, culminating in a dominating performance against Swansea City on Saturday.

According to Squawka, Martial had a phenomenal afternoon against Swansea City, scoring the first of the team’s two goals and recording the assist on the second one. He also displayed incredible accuracy, with 91% of his passes hitting the mark, along with four take-ons and four shots.

Another stat which may point to just how vital the French starlet is: Since December 2015, Manchester United have scored only six goals in all competitions, with Anthony Martial has been responsible for four of them: three goals and the assist to Wayne Rooney on Saturday.

Martial made his debut for the Red Devils on September 12 after making a record-setting transfer move from Monaco. He scored a key goal in a win over Liverpool and followed up that performance with a brace against Southampton just eight days later. His five BPL goals and eight total goals lead the team in both categories.
