Diego Costa goal video v Crystal Palace: Chelsea striker maintains goal-a-game record in new era

Posted by

Diego Costa did not start the 2015-16 season well. After scoring 20 goals in 26 Premier League matches during his first campaign in England, he netted just three times in his first 13 games this term.

However, since Guus Hiddink replaced Jose Mourinho as Blues boss, Costa has been rejuvenated.

This opportunistic tap-in during Sunday’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace was Costa’s third goal in three appearances in the Hiddink era.

Although Costa was the man to put the ball in the net, the bulk of the credit should go to Willian, who created the goal with a brilliant on-the-ball run.

Willian scored a brilliant goal himself earlier in the second half, after fellow Brazil international Oscar had broken the deadlock on 29 minutes.
