Barcelona celebrate end of transfer ban by signing 77 players in a single day

While most teams have difficulty signing just one player in any given transfer window, the reigning La Liga/Champions League/Cope Del Ray/FIFA Super Cup/FIFA Club World Cup champions Barcelona are not like most teams.

Following the end of a 14-month transfer ban due to a violation FIFA transfer rules, Barcelona boss Luis Enrique got to work immediately – securing the transfer of a whopping 77 players from across the globe for every level of the team from the first team with defender Aleix Vidal and midfielder Arda Turan to the youth leagues.

Vidal was named to the UEFA Europa League team of the season after Seville won the tournament. He has 34 career goals and can also play winger.

Turan made over 120 league appearances for Atletico Madrid over a four year career with the team, signing with the team over the summer but not being eligible to move to the team until the ban was lifted.
