Chelsea eye new £50m January offer for summer target John Stones

Chelsea are reportedly preparing to go back in for Everton defender John Stones armed with a £50million offer during the January transfer window, according to the Daily Express.

The England international was a major target for the Blues over the summer, but Everton knocked back their three big money approaches for the defender over the summer.

And now with Manchester United now sniffing around, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic is believed to be keen to make another push for his signature before it’s too late.

And it is believed that though the Toffees held off from moving him on over the summer, they would consider letting him go if they received an offer in the region of £50m.

The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the brightest young defenders in the game recently, and has even attracted interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

However, it is Chelsea who appear to be acting first.
