Manchester United are facing some serious competition to sign forward Sadio Mane as Premier League rivals Chelsea and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich join the race to prize him away from Southampton, the Daily Mirror reports.
Seemingly aware of the interest shown in his signature from elsewhere, the 23-year-old has told Saints bosses that he doesn’t intend to sign a new deal at St Mary’s, as he knows it will mean they will up his price considerably to around the £30million mark.
United have been keen on his services since the summer and are keen to wrap up a deal as soon as possible, but The Mirror believe that both Bayern and Chelsea have thrown their respective hats into the ring once they found out that he could become available.
Mane is still under contract until 2018, but Southampton are adamant that he won’t be sold this month, but rather than risking him running down to the final year of his contract almost guarantees that he will be heading for the exit door in the summer.
