Mesut Ozil wins another trophy to go alongside his FA Cup and Community Shield medals

Mesut Ozil has won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for December.

The 27-year-old playmaker, who also won the awards – which are sponsored by Vitality – for October and November, picked up 81.2% of the fan vote, according to Arsenal’s official website.

Ozil scored one goal and provided five assists in five Premier League games during December.

He hit the net in a 2-0 win over Bournemouth, after setting up strikes in victories over Sunderland and Aston Villa, as well as two as the Gunners beat Manchester City.

Ozil’s personal trophy cabinet is pretty impressive. He won the German Cup with Werder Bremen and the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with Germany in 2009, before helping Real Madrid to the Copa del Rey in 2011 and then the La Liga title a year later.

He won the World Cup in 2014, while he is a two-time FA Cup winner at Arsenal, not forgetting his Community Shield medal!

Ozil may have won three back-to-back Player of the Month awards at Arsenal, but he was narrowly pipped by Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez in our 2015 football awards.
