Chelsea are said to be lining up a move to sign highly-rated FC Basel striker Breel Embolo, according to the Metro.
The 18-year-old is tipped to be a future star thanks to his recent emergence in the Swiss top flight, where he has made a name for himself scoring 16 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions.
He has garnered some serious interest from a number of top European clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool, Juventus and Barcelona, but the Metro are reporting that it’s the Blues that will get the jump on his signature.
And should they manage to prize him away from Basel, it is believed that the path toward the exit would be lazed for either Loic Remy or Radamel Falcao, who have both failed to make an impact at the club this season.
However, Embolo won’t come cheap, as the Metro claim that Basel will want a fee in the region of £20million for his services.
