“I don’t want to go to Arsenal”: £44.6m striker deals major blow to Gunners’ transfer plans

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has categorically ruled out a move to Arsenal.

The Gunners have been linked with a £44.6m move for the Gabonese in the Daily Mail, but he has dealt the Premier League a big blow by insisting that he does not want to leave Dortmund anytime soon.

Aubameyang was questioned over the speculation last night after he pipped Manchester City’s Yaya Toure to become the first player from his country to win the African Player of the Year award.

“I don’t want to go to Arsenal. I won’t leave Dortmund soon,” The Sun quotes the 26-year-old as saying.

Arsene Wenger may now have to reconsider his January transfer window plans. Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott are the strikers currently tasked with firing Arsenal to a first league title in over a decade.

The Sun adds that Manchester United and Manchester City are also keen on Aubamayeng, who is the top goalscorer in the Bundesliga this season with 18 goals in 17 outings for Dortmund.
