Having managed Real Madrid megastar Gareth Bale for most of the prized winger’s career in England, Harry Redknapp knows just how valuable he can be to any club that has him. So confident is Redknapp in Bale’s abilities, that he believes Manchester United could overcome a nine-point Premier League deficit and win the title if they complete a Gareth Bale transfer.

In an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live [per the Metro], Redknapp gushed about his former superstar from his days at Tottenham Hotspur, proclaiming Bale to be one of the top five players in the world and expressing belief that he could essentially end the scoring troubles the Red Devils have had.

‘Gareth Bale’s in the top four or five players in the world,’ Redknapp said.

‘He’s an amazing talent. If Manchester United took him they could come close to winning the title this year. He can make that much difference.

‘Bale is a match-winner. He scores goals and he can make goals. He could go and get them 16 goals or 17 goals from now until the end of the season if he went on a run and he could turn the club around. He would be an incredible signing.’

Bale played six seasons for Tottenham Hotspur, most of it under Redknapp, but really emerged in the 2010-11 season with his first double-digit goal season. In the 2012-13 season, Bale set a career-high with 21 league goals and 26 total goals.

In 2013, Bale snubbed Man United to accept a record-setting £87 million transfer to Real Madrid.
