Chelsea star is GLAD Oscar and Diego Costa had training ground bust-up

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has said that he is glad that teammates Diego Costa and Oscar had a training ground bust up recently as he believes it shows there is still fight and dedication in the squad, the Daily Star reports.

Tensions within the squad seemed to be at an all-time high ahead of the club’s FA Cup clash with Scunthorpe United this weekend as hard tackles and handbags were on display at their Cobham training base.

Costa and Oscar squared up to each other on the training pitch after a robust challenge from the latter, causing teammates to wade in and diffuse the situation.

However, Zouma believes that the bust up shows how committed his teammates are and how much they care for the cause despite the poor start.

“For us training is like a game. We have to give everything. The way you train is the way you play.

“So first of all, we have to improve in training. Is that why you get tackles like that? Of course.

“In training we are working hard every day. Everybody is putting good intensity into their game.

“We have played well in a few games and are improving much better, so let’s keep the intensity very high.

“If you watched the Scunthorpe game you can see how they are both together. Just like everybody, they are very good friends.”
