Liverpool to revive interest in forgotten Atletico Madrid goal ace

Liverpool are believed to be keen on reviving their interest in Atletico Madrid striker Luciano Vietto, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Reds were keen on signing the striker over the summer, only to see him depart for the Spanish capital instead, and it now seems that he would be open to a swift exit from the Vicente Calderon as he has found regular game time hard to come by so far this term.

Jurgen Klopp is also painfully aware that he needs an upgrade in attack as Daniel Sturridge’s ongoing injury problems pose a concern for his plans, and the England international could even be allowed to leave at some point in the near future.

The report claims that Klopp is ready to follow on from Brendan Rodgers’ initial interest as he feels that the striker fits into the style of play he’s trying to implement at the club.
