The summer acquisition of Angel Di Maria has been a major boon for Paris Saint-Germain – but far less so for forward/winger Ezequiel Lavezzi. After making just a handful of starts this season, Lavezzi’s reps have starting meeting with other teams, and Chelsea appear to be at the front of the line.
According to 101GreatGoals.com, Alessandro Moggi – an associate of Lavezzi’s agent Alejandro Mazzoni, mentioned that several teams including Inter Milan and Barcelona are interested in the 30-year-old Argentine star, but only mentioned Chelsea as a team that they were actually in real talks with.
“Inter are the most interested team at the moment,” Moggi told Mediaset.
“There was interest from Barcelona and Chelsea, and we’re talking with the Blues.
“I can’t rule out him only leaving Paris at the end of the season though, as Paris Saint-Germain have expressed an interest in keeping him.
Lavezzi has made just three starts for PSG since the club acquired Angel Di Maria from Man United in the summer – last season he started half of the season for the French giants and scored eight goals with two assists.
Chelsea signed Pedro from Barcelona earlier this season to a similar role to the type Lavezzi plays, but the move has not worked out too well for the Blues.
