France Football have revealed that the 20-year-old is set to leave Schalke 04 in June, with Barcelona understood to have a six-year deal in place with the wonderkid.
According to the report, the forward will move to the Camp Nou at the beginning of July, with the Catalan heavyweights having reportedly met the attacker’s €37 million buy-out clause.
However, there is some intrigue in the suggestion that Barcelona have met a supposed caveat in the youngster’s contract, with Schalke having previously confirmed on Twitter [as per AS] that the player had no such clause in his deal.
If Barcelona’s deal for the wonderkid proves to be true, it will come as a bitter blow to Liverpool and Manchester City, both of whom have been heavily linked to the attacker.
