Man City eye £20m Premier League hit man to replace Wilfried Bony

Manchester City are believed to already be lining up one of Pep Guardiola’s first transfers as manager by targeting…Jamie Vardy, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Txiki Begiristain has apparently targeted the Leicester striker after being impressed with his fine form this season, and though the Foxes will be desperate to hang onto the 28-year-old, City will fund a move by allowing misfiring striker Wilfried Bony depart for a fee in the region of £20million.

The Telegraph also claim that Yaya Toure’s City career is on thin ice, after the player’s agent recently criticised the Spaniard, while there have been questions about the player’s attitude, too.

City will also try to tempt Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller to the club, as he is still high on their wish list, but there are serious doubts that he would be open to following his current manager to the Etihad.
