Arsenal star ready to reunite with former boss at Man City

Although Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has not yet made an official move to Manchester City, speculation as to what will happen if (or when) he decides to accept the position has run rampant. Among the more likely scenarios (possibly more likely than Barcelona letting Lionel Messi go) is reuniting Guardiola with one of his former Barcelona stars, Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez.

According to Don Balon [per Goal.com], the Chilean striker would be open to joining Man City or Manchester United depending on where Guardiola ultimately lands. The source noted that although Sanchez has received significant interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid, he would be more interested in joining one of the Manchester outfits should either show an interest in signing him.

Sanchez played three seasons at Barcelona, several of which came under Guardiola, and scored a career-high 19 goals in 34 league matches back in the 2013-14 season.

So far Sanchez has been battling injuries for nearly a third of the Premier League season and has not appeared in a match since late November. He is expected to return to the Arsenal lineup for the January 24 derby against Chelsea.
