Chelsea may have to fight off interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain if they are to sign Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez in the summer.
The Foxes attacker has been one of the revelations of the season so far, having bagged 13 goals in 21 appearances for Claudio Ranieri’s high-flying Midlanders. The Algerian has also contributed seven assists, and has gone from being something of a peripheral figure to being a devastating presence in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old has no shortage of suitors, with the Daily Star reporting that Chelsea are keen on bringing the North African to Stamford Bridge in a big-money deal this summer.
However, the Pensioners are likely to face considerable competition for the player’s services, with the tabloid noting that both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are eyeing the midfielder.
Mahrez isn’t the only Leicester player likely to receive offers from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Jamie Vardy also understood to be under consideration by the reigning champions.
