Chelsea told mad manager can be theirs for £4.1m

The Chilean Football Federation have told Chelsea that they are welcome to employ current boss Jorge Sampaoli, providing they can fought up the £4.1million to buy him out of his contract, according to Spanish publication Don Balon.

The Blues are still in the market for a long term replacement to Jose Mourinho, and several reports say that the charismatic Argentine is near the top of their wish list.

However, despite the ongoing investigation into financial irregularities in South American football, Chile are not keen on losing the tactician and won’t allow him to move on unless they are compensated.

And should Chelsea cough up the cash, the Chilean FA have indicated that they would not stand in Sampaoli’s way if he decided to go and take up the challenge in the Premier League.

Sampaoli recently paid homage to the English top flight by labelling it the best in the world.
