Lip-reader REVEALS what Sir Alex Ferguson said about Man United under van Gaal

According to a celebrated lip-reader, Sir Alex Ferguson does not appear to have confirmed that Louis van Gaal is on the brink of dismissal from Manchester United.

The legendary manager was present at Old Trafford on Saturday as his beloved Red Devils fell to a 1-0 home defeat by Southamton.

After looking listless and lethargic for much of the game—creating little in the way of notable chances—the home side were hit with a sucker punch late on as Charlie Austin headed home from a James Ward-Prowse free kick to give the Saints a 1-0 won.

The mood at Old Trafford was poisonous at the final whistle, as van Gaal walked back to the tunnel with the unmistakable air of a man who’s set for a serious reprimand at work on Monday morning.

Reports circulated after the match that Sir Alex was spotted muttering “he’s gone” to his neighbour in the ground after the match, suggesting that LVG was a deadman walking.

However, if the Mirror‘s resident lip-reader Jessica Rees is anything to go by, van Gaal may have a little bit longer left.

“He is mumbling and it is not very clear from here but Sir Alex Ferguson replies ‘Let’s hope so!’,” Rees claims.

“His tone is curt and dismissive – very much so.”
