Chelsea striker confirms he wants to leave this month

Chelsea striker Loic Remy has confirmed that he wants to make a loan move away from the club during the January transfer window, according to Sky Sports.

The France international has struggled to establish himself as a regular in the first team since joining and a number of Premier League sides are believed to be lining up in order to snag his signature before the window closes next week.

However, one club touted as a potential suitor – Leicester City – have ruled out making a move for the 29-year-old, but the likes of Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are all keeping tabs on his situation.

Remy is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League, having already proven his credentials with Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle, where he bagged a total of 14 goals in 27 appearances during a loan spell with the Magpies back in 2013/14.
