Inter prepare contract offer for Chelsea target to sign him immediately

Paris Saint-Germain star Ezequiel Lavezzi has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent months, but Inter are desperate to land his signature too.

The former Napoli winger will see his deal with the Ligue 1 champions expire at the end of the season, and provided that a new contract isn’t agreed upon, the club may look to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer.

In turn, that has alerted the likes of Chelsea and Inter to make their respective moves, while Juventus have also been linked with an interest, as reported by Football Italia.

However, it appears as though the Nerazzurri will be the first to make their move as reports in Italy have suggested that they will offer the Argentine a deal worth €3.5m per season plus bonuses and image rights.

It is also claimed that further bonuses will be included in the deal with regards to Champions League qualification in order to compensate Lavezzi for what he would miss out on with PSG for the remainder of the season.

His arrival at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza would undoubtedly be a huge boost for Roberto Mancini as he continues to see his side’s title push falter.

Inter were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly Carpi at home on Sunday, which in turn allowed Napoli and Juventus to stretch their gap at the top and emerge as the genuine contenders for the Serie A crown.

As a result, Mancini will be expected to be active in the final few days of the transfer market with their Scudetto hopes arguably on the line.
