Liverpool ready to listen to offers for Christian Benteke

Liverpool are reportedly ready to start listening to offers for star striker Christian Benteke, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The club’s record signing has come in for some heavy criticism in recent weeks despite being their top scorer, as Reds fans ponder whether he still has a future at Anfield.

Benteke earned a move having displayed prolific form at Aston Villa over the past three seasons, but has struggled to have the same impact on Merseyside so far this term.

Having cost the club £32million, the Telegraph cites Bleacher Report in claiming that they are hoping to earn back a big portion of what they paid for him over the summer.

But the same report suggests that the Belgian international would prefer to discuss his future over the summer and will likely reject any opportunity to seal a move away this month as he hopes to stay and fight for his place and earn a starting spot in Belgium’s Euro 2016 campaign.
