Arsenal ‘working hard’ to complete Ben Chilwell deal before January window closes

Arsenal are believed to be working hard to completing a move for highly-rated Leicester City youngster Ben Chilwell before the close of the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

The Gunners are already said to have had one bid for the full-back rejected, but are set to return with another offer closer to the £4million mark with the view to bringing him on board before the end of the month.

However, it is known that the Foxes have offered him a new deal with the view to keeping him out of Arsenal’s grasp and it is likely that a new deal will be based around making more appearances in the first team.

But should Arsenal fail to get the deal over the line before Monday’s transfer deadline they will almost certainly make a return for his signature again over the summer.

But by that time fellow interested parties Tottenham and Liverpool may have time to put together their own offers.
