Chelsea could offer international forward in swap deal for England striker & EPL hotshot

According to reports, Chelsea could be set to use forward Loic Remy as part of a player-plus-cash deal to bring Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy to Stamford Bridge.

Vardy has been one of the standout individuals in the Premier League season so far, scoring 16 goals and contributing three assists during a magnificent season for the Foxes. Indeed, Vardy, along with fellow star man Riyad Mahrez, has been a crucial component in the East Midlanders’ remarkable rise to the top of the EPL table.

However, his performances have attracted suitors, with the Mirror noting that Chelsea remain keen on signing the England international.

According to the tabloid, the Blues could be tempted to use Remy as a ‘makeweight’ in any deal to bring 29-year-old Vardy to West London.

Earlier in the month, the Mirror revealed that Leicester had joined the chase for the French international—who has scored once in 10 EPL outings so far this season—although it’s hard to imagine the Foxes being tempted to offload the influential Vardy in the midst of one of the finest seasons in the club’s history.
