Chelsea & Barcelona set to miss out on South American striking star as transfer plans revealed

According to reports in France, Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi won’t be going anywhere in January, despite courting a myriad of suitors.

The versatile attacker has been linked with a move away from the French capital in recent months, with Inter Milan, Barcelona, AS Roma and Chelsea all understood to be keen on his signature.

Even Liverpool, until recently, have been tipped for a move for the South American attacker, although it remains to be seen whether the Reds are still interested in the versatile frontman.

However, according to L’Equipe [via Le Figaro], Lavezzi won’t be going anywhere…at least not until the summer.

The reason is the €400k-per-month salary the attacker currently enjoys at Paris. With none of his potential suitors prepared to meet that fee in January, the forward—whose current deal runs until the summer—appears primed to reject any advances over the coming days and see out his current deal in the French capital.
