Barcelona star reveals he wants to play for Premier League bound coach

Amid speculation that Pep Guardiola could be heading to the Premier League in the summer, Barcelona ace Neymar has revealed his admiration for him.

The pair have never previously worked together as Guardiola left the Catalan giants a year before they signed the Brazilian international in 2013.

While the Spaniard has since gone to enjoy further success in Germany with Bayern Munich, he has confirmed that he will be leaving Bavaria at the end of the season.

Further, he has stated that he hopes to work in England, although it remains to be seen whether or not a job opportunity presents itself in the summer or if he is forced to bide his time.

Nevertheless, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United linked with an interest, if the 44-year-old does secure a new role in the next six months, he could be tempted to test Barca’s resolve and make a bid for Neymar.

“Guardiola is a guy that I really admire and who I would love to work with,” said Neymar, as reported by Sky Sports.

“It’s tough to say if I want to play in other countries. Nobody knows tomorrow, but I’m very happy where I am right now, at Barcelona.

“I have the will to go back to Brazil some day and I also would like to play in the USA, those two countries are two where I want to play later on my career.”

The Brazilian forward is currently in the midst of a tax case and has lost his appeal against a £78,000 fine. As a result, he may have other things on his mind which take priority for the time being before a summer switch can be discussed if it is an option he is genuinely open to.
