Fifteen months ago, former Southampton defender Calum Chambers scored his first Arsenal goal in a 3-0 win over Burnley, who were then a Premier League outfit.

Today, the 21-year-old notched his second for the Gunners. Once again, Burnley were the victims.

Burnley, now playing their league football in The Championship following last season’s relegation, were broken down inside 19 minutes of today’s FA Cup tie at Emirates Stadium as Chambers beat goalkeeper Tom Heaton with a brilliant outside-of-the-boot effort.

Arsenal, who are aiming to win the FA Cup for a third successive year, have not failed to go beyond round four since 2010 when Stoke City – quite literally – threw them out of the competition.

However, the Gunners have been pegged back since Chamber’s opener, with Sam Vokes levelling on the half-hour mark.
