Chelsea ready to make £45m-rated striker their top transfer priority

Chelsea have reportedly set their sights on a move for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata and will make a big money move for him at the end of the season, according to Italian publication Calciomercato.

The spanish international has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs this season, including Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham, despite failing to set the scoring charts alight.

Reports have recently suggested that Arsenal and Spurs are set to battle it out for his signature, before the current transfer window closes, while Liverpool wait in the wings while they look at other targets first.

Chelsea have already signed Alexandre Pato on a six-month loan deal, but the Blues are keen on adding more firepower to their frontline and have identified the 23-year-old as a long term attacking option.

However, Juventus aren’t keen on letting him go on the cheap, and it could cost Chelsea around £45million to prize him away from Turin.
