Schalke wonderkid Leroy Sane has reduced his shortlist of potential destinations down to two after ruling out a move to the Premier League.
According to Bild, as per Goal, the starlet has confirmed that he will not be switching to England, disappointing Liverpool and Manchester City, both of whom have been linked with a move for the talented youngster.
His decision seemingly limits his options to Barcelona, and ambitious RB Leipzig, who are also—surprisingly—said to be in for the forward.
According to reports, the domestic minnows—who currently lead Germany’s second tier, the 2. Bundesliga—are set to receive major backing once they secure their promotion to the top flight.
Leipzig, managed by another former Liverpool target, Ralf Rangnick, are understood to be keen to make Sane their marquee signing.
The favourites, however, remain Barcelona, who are rumoured to already have a deal in place to sign the 20-year-old.
